Lots of Rain

It has been raining all day today. The leaves on the tree are starting to fall. Looks like it might take a few more months for them all to disappear. Our tree has really gotten tall. I had my last ear of corn today. I still have quite a few little carrots though.

Wow! A Pumpkin!

Wow a pumpkin grew in my garden overnight! What a surprise. It must have been the fertilizer I used last week. (Thanks for the pumpkin whoever left it :) hee hee.)This is a zucchini I think. The rhubarb likes the rain we've been having.
I put some bark down in the back. It looks much better.
More corn! It was yummy. It had a real buttery taste.

Forget-me-nots from my friend Liz, who sent seeds in the mail.
Another cucumber - it's going to be my lunch today. Cucumber sandwich.

A darker zucchini. Or maybe the other one was actually a squash?

Corn Harvest

This picture is actually from last week. Stuff is still growing. I planted some ground cover today in the spots that didn't have anything growing. We planted ground cover too late last year and it wasn't in place to hold the soil before the big rains. We'll see if this is early enough.
The raspberries are slowly getting bigger. It will be fun to see them next summer. Some of the leaves from our tree are fall now too. Fall is here. Here are some corns from they garden! They were so small I never thought they would be yellow inside. Were cooking them right now.

We're back from Vacation

The garden went wild while we were on vacation. The neighbors looked after it but luckily it rained while we were gone so stuff grew pretty good. Here are the beets.
Here are some beets, carrots, and beans. The carrots look good on top and then I pull them up and there is nothing there! The beet was awesome though. I never liked beets as a kid but they were always pickled. They taste much better steamed with a little salt. Yum!

I have ears of corn! They are little but there is still time for them to grow.
Real corn!
Here is the garlic we pulled up. We have to let it dry now.
The cucumbers are growing up the fence now and have some blooms.
More bean are growing.

There is a zucchini in there if you look close.
