I'm trying out Windows Live Writer software which is free to download.

nice_spot Here is a test picture that I changed to black-n-white.

Garden from overhead

I ate my first peas today! You can see the peas growing up into the tree in these pictures. Unbelievably the strawberries are still green.

Sunflowers!

Growing high

This is some of the ground cover that I let grow.

Not red yet but it's a Raspberry! The peas have outgrown the trellis and are now reaching up into the tree. It's going to be hard to pick the pods so high up.

I bought a Whirlybird today.

Snap dragon.
I thinned out the chard but I didn't have the hart to pull them all up yet.

I put in a trellis for the sunflowers.

Empty Nest

The Chickadees fledged yesterday and now they've gone off to live in the trees! Mark was at his computer and heard a lot of cheeping. He looked out the window and saw the baby birdies taking their first flights. He said they looked like Woodstock from the Peanuts cartoon. They flew in erratic paths, bumbling around, sometimes seeming to be flying upside down. The parents were still caring for them and feeding them worms. Maybe we'll see them around the neighborhood.
