Summer update

The Lavender is in full bloom now.

I planed some squash and zucchini in the garden today and cleared out some of the old plants from spring. I also dug up the strawberries since the take a lot of space and aren't producing any berries these days. I also thew in some arugula, kale, and spinach seeds. I don't have room for everything but you never know what will do well. The peas have pods now but they aren't fat yet. Maybe a few more days.

yard work

tulips are close to blooming

Made a new box around the raspberries and filled in with bark.

New bark in the flower beds

garden boxes are all planted! I threw in some sunflowers yesterday and during the week added some radishes and peas. I have new little metal tags that say what everything is so the people walking down the street can see what I'm growing.

And I finally got the circle closed around the tree. Originally we couldn't close it because the stake holding up the tree was in the way. That was only 5 yrs ago and the tree doesn't need help any more!

Yellow crocus, purple crocus, and hyacinth all at once. It smells so good!

I turned over the soil in the garden boxes. Still have winter arugula.
I'm getting ready to plant some more lettuce.
