The christmas cactus is blooming now!
I put up my christmas lights! Leds to use less energy. :)

Happy Thanksgiving

I had a great Thanksgiving! I posted a few of the highlights on this music video:

It was cold outside - 28 degrees this morning at our house. I put the insulated cover over the outside hose connection and brought in all of the geraniums yesterday. Just in time. I think today I'll take a Big Nap.

Christmas Cactus

The Christmas Cactus is getting closer to blooming. Simba is finally using the house we got him. :)

I put a snowflake in the window. Maybe it will snow now... :)

Another storm is coming.

This carrot is the biggest yet! I went to the store today but none of their carrots were this fat.

Fall Colors

I was going to post these pictures last weekend. The tree in the yard still had leaves then. We had one day last week that it got below freezing - Thursday. I took the bus in but rode my bike home. Last weekend we also saw a chickadee use the bird bath! It was so cute! That was the first time I've seen any bird use the bird bath.

This Saturday I noticed all the leaves have fallen and just the berries are left!

New Baby!

John and Dorsey's Baby was born today! Hooray! Can't wait for them to start posting the pictures.

We had a wind storm this week and today was really cold. Yesterday there was thunder and hail!

The sumac made it through the year. I think next year it will be stronger and bigger.
Rhubarb is still hanging in there.
The ground cover is starting to cover the garden for winter. It needs to get a bit more lush to hold on to the soil for the next rain storm. I bought a eucalyptus plant and stuck it in the far corner.
Simba got a new house and was having fun playing in it. You can tell that he is a real nocturnal animal by his eyes. :)

This is a bluebell that mom gave me. I planted it between the lavender plants.
It's almost Halloween time. :)

Fog

It's been really foggy the last couple of mornings and much colder. Fall is really here now. The tree lost it's leaves pretty fast!

I still have some carrots in my garden though. :)
